Membership Development

Student-PSEA always strives to gain new members to further spread the word of the importance of education. Through recruitment opportunities and communication (Twitter, Facebook, etc.) we have gained many new members. Each semester we take part in the Club and Organization Fair at Cal U to recruit potential new members and sread the word of SPSEA. SPSEA holds bi-weekly meetings to keep members up to date on new business within SPSEA.

Fall 2015 Membership Development Opportunities

In September, SPSEA was involved in a campus wide club and organization fair at Cal U. At this event, the organzation was publicized. We supplied potential members information about the organization, meeting dates, and goodies such as pens and candy for stopping at our table. This was a smashing success as we gained over twenty new members!

Spring 2016 Membership Development Opportunities

On February 18th from 11:00am to 1:00pm Cal U hosted another club and organization fair in the performance center in the Natali Student Union building. Officers and members were on hand to give information about SPSEA and why we are much more than just liability insurance!

At the beginning of the Spring semester we completed two bulletin boards. First, our "Minion" themed board that displays what SPSEA is all about. Brochures are on the board for potential members to take and read. Meeting dates, officer contact information, and other important information are listed on the board!

The second board that was completed was from our membership development committee lead by our Vice-President, Erica Johnson. A request was made from childhood education professor, Dr. Torregano, for a history themed board to be put up. Erica and her committee made a beautiful display of Southwestern Pennsylvania and it's points of interest! Great work!
