In Loving Memory of Aubrey Ellen Sonney...

We were deeply saddened to hear about one of our members, Aubrey Sonney who passed away in an automobile accident. Aubrey was a secondary education major with a concentration in history. Aubrey held the position of vice-president of our organization. She was an avid member and friend to all involved in the organization. Aubrey was a talented, smart, energetic, and a beautiful woman both inside and out. She would have been a beacon of love and inspiration to her students. She was passionate about teaching and it showed through her time and dedication to this organization. SPSEA hopes to continue her legacy of education and her passion for teaching.

We received permission to construct a bulletin board in her honor on the 4th floor of Keystone Hall (shown below). We have donated a generous amount to her hometown school of Tidioute. The money went towards buying new chorus robes which were desperately needed. Aubrey was a member of the chorus and her parents wished that our donations be used to aquire new robes. We also conducted a school supplies drive to benefit her alma mater as well. Below are thank you letters and cards that were sent from her alma mater school as well as her family. We miss her each and every day!

Our thoughts and prayers are continuously with her family and her close friends.
